DumGal Council may award a small (a few hundred pounds) annual discretionary grant; the grant is to be used at the discretion of the community council to further their statutory purposes, role and responsibilities only and for no other purpose.Â
NMCC uses this grant to pay village hall booking fees, to pay for the printing & postal costs associated with the newsletters we have sent out, our annual ICO fee and our annual fees associated with both Microsoft Office software and virus protection. Â
To date none of the community councillors, who are unpaid, has claimed expenses associated with their role.
The cost of the newsletters uses much of the discretionary grant and we would very much welcome you providing us with your email details thus we can reduce our costs and send your newsletter via email - thank you in anticipation!

several times money has been split three ways between the three village halls wiithin the NMCC boundary (Bankshill, Corrie, Boreland)
to purchase hand sanitiser which the community councillors distributed door to door to each household
